As I begin writing this, it’s one of the last days of December and my furry houseguest for the week, a dog named Raisin Hell, is chilling in the armchair, now and then letting out a relaxed sigh, as we’re listening to Billie Holiday and reflecting on another year gone by.
I have just gotten back from spending the holidays with my family in the village. Something felt different this year, and not only over there. A lot of those I’m close to have gone through intense changes, and the same very clearly goes for the collective. Some things that happened in 2022 have left us shocked to the core. I hope during the remaining days of 2022, everybody could get some rest and the chance to review and reflect, peacefully so, and with a sense of hope.
